Gesture with sound

One person shows any gesture and makes a sound β€” the group immediately repeats. The next person invents a new "sound + movement" β€” everyone repeats.

Full description

Setup and Launch

Explain the rule: one participant shows any gesture and simultaneously makes a sound; the whole group repeats without pausing. The turn then passes to the next person, who comes up with a new "sound + movement" pairing for everyone to repeat. Position the group so everyone can see each other well.

How It Runs

Maintain a clear tempo and unified impulses: instant collective response matters more than the sophistication of offers.

  1. Example and start. The trainer, if needed, demonstrates the first "gesture + sound," setting the size and energy.

  2. Instant mirroring. The whole group simultaneously repeats the gesture and sound in full, without comments.

  3. Passing the turn. The next participant immediately offers their version; the others repeat at once.

  4. Cycle/finish. Continue until everyone has offered one or two versions, or until the agreed time.

End on a collective upswing, when you feel synchronicity and group cohesion.

Key rules

  • The "gesture + sound" pairing is performed simultaneously by one person.

  • The whole group immediately and synchronously repeats without discussions or hints.

  • The turn quickly passes to the next participant; a new offer β€” a new shared repetition.

  • Maintain a clear impulse and completeness in each offer so the group can easily mirror it.
